The New Inn

With an excellent selection of beer and a fantastically well stocked back bar, the New Inn is one of the last bastions of back-street boozers in Whitstable.

Built in the 1830s, The New Inn is the first purpose built pub in Whitstable. Back then it served railway workers, dockers and fishermen who all lived in the surrounding cottages. Nowadays, our pub attracts a wider clientele, but is still an unpretentious and friendly place, where the bar staff will remember your name and your favourite tipple.

We believe in focusing on what we do best and so you can always be guaranteed an excellent pint or a choice of drinks from our exceptionally well stocked back bar. Our cocktails incorporate traditional drinks with a twist and our Bloody Marys are known as some of the best in the area.

As a result of our dedication to serving the best quality beer possible, we are now listed in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide 2016. This is an accolade that we are exceptionally proud of.

Because we like to focus on the quality of our bar service, we don't serve food. However, we do have an amazingly well stocked snack collection and, on Sundays, cheese from our local cheese shop, The Cheese Box. The perfect snack to compliment a pint.

The New Inn is a fun and interactive place to drink, whether you are playing our retro board games and PacMan machine or taking part in our monthly pub quizzes, there really is something for everyone. And in case none of that seems all that entertaining we have free wifi (so you can Instagram some great pics of us or tweet us @newinnbubble) and free pool on Mondays.

Set back from the hustle of the Quay and Harbour street, experience a truly unique vibe and atmosphere...long may the humble back street pub remain!

We look forward to seeing you.
